Getting feedback on work
At certain periods of the year, I have a reasonably large number of people asking me to read their work before submission. It is unlikely that I will be able to read work and provide timely feedback on work given to me on the day or the day before a deadline. Please leave at least 3 or 4 days for feedback.
How to book an appointment
At certain periods of the year, I have a reasonably large number of people coming to see me. By definition, if you want to see me, it is likely to be one of these times, so I cannot just see people who turn up. If you need to talk to me, the best way is to email me in advance, preferrably with a Doodle Poll link. You should:
- Pick 4 or 5 slots, each half an hour long.
- Slots should be start after 10am and end before 4pm.
- Not pick consecutive slots as they may all be covered by other meetings
- Not pick slots just in the next day or two, as my time may be booked.
This is my current diary. Picking slots which are not marked as busy is a good idea, but because I use this for planning both appointments and work, sometimes I can make appointments when I am marked as busy, and cannot necessarily make times not marked as busy. Again, 4 or 5 distributed slots normally covers this.
Finally, once I have picked times I can make, you should close the Doodle
poll, by picking a finalized time. If you do not do this, I will not know when
to expect you and may not be in.
