Medical/Dental School |

The
Medical/Dental School is an excellent venue for large conferences
and is one of the best conference venues in the city. It includes
a suite of 6 lecture theatres ranging in size from 450 - 100. Castle Leazes Halls of Residence
are only a 10 minute walk from this complex which makes it an
ideal venue for residential conference delegates.
The Medical/Dental School
includes a state of the art entrance and a new tiered theatre with
410 seats - this includes main rear projection, dual slide
projection, data and video projector, networked PC's, video
conferencing and a touch screen control system. (work will be
complete by November 2001.) |

Adjacent to the theatres there is exhibition space of over 800 sq
metres and up to 15 seminar rooms

Herschel Building |

Situated
on the main campus, the Herschel Building is a frequently used
venue for conferences. Here there is the Curtis Auditorium, which
is a tiered theatre seating 374. Adjacent to the auditorium, there
are a suite of three other lecture theatres, with capacities of
250, 150 and 150. If your plenary was to exceed 374 a video link
can be set up to the adjacent theatres. The Concourse area outside
the theatres provides an excellent venue for exhibitions and
refreshments. |
| Bedson
Building |

The
Bedson Building will have a brand new suite of six rooms (1x 90,
3x 48, 2x 30) available from April 2001. This will be in addition
to the recently refurbished lecture theatre which seats 280. All
rooms will have full audio visual equipment to include data
projection.

Merz
Court in an ideal venue if your looking for schools groups or for
examination accommodation. The tiered lecture theatre has a
capacity of 185 and an adjacent 15 classrooms.

| As
well as providing a wide variety of meeting space at the main
University campus, we also provide plenty of meeting space at our
two main accommodation sites. |
In
addition to the above the University has over 40 seminar rooms and
classrooms, ranging in size for 10 - 140. A series of smaller
lecture theatres have been upgraded to include data/video
projection and there is a designated videoconference room with an
overflow into 3 additional rooms.
