- Road - From Carlisle the A69, From the
South the A1. Check with the AA
for journey times and routes from your location.
- Rail - Newcastle is on the GNER
London to Edinburgh line, making London only two and a half
hours away.
- Air - The Airport
is located a few miles North of the city and is easily accessible
by road (A696) and train (metro link directly to heart of
city.) Bus services and taxis also travel frequently between
the city and the airport.
- Water - Approximately seven miles to
the East of the city is a ferry
port. Overnight car ferry links to Germany, Holland and
Norway.

Newcastle is
a vibrant modern city. With recent developments along the river
and excellent shopping and leisure facilities, there is always
something to do. The surrounding Northumberland and Durham
countryside provides plenty of opportunity for fresh air and
exercise. Northumberland also has many historic sites well worth a
visits, from Hadrian's Wall to medieval castles. |
