| Castle
Leazes |
| These
are the largest of the University residences, situated within walking
distance of the main University precinct and their proximity to the
Medical School makes Castle Leazes Halls an attractive venue for
conferences. The halls, which have recently undergone a major
refurbishment programme can accommodate over 1,000 delegates. Castle
Leazes Halls comprise of three inter connecting Halls each accommodating
350 delegates. Each hall has five residential houses and includes it's own
dining room. |
| There are 1,000
single study bedrooms all with wash hand basin and shared shower and
bathroom facilities. A further 6 flats are available each with their own
bathroom facility and kitchen. In addition 12 of these rooms are specially
fitted for disabled guests. All bedrooms are double glazed with
thermostatically controlled central heating and are furnished to a high
standard. Complimentary tea and coffee is provided in each bedroom. |

| There are three
dining rooms, each capable of seating 330 persons, and a selection of
games and function rooms, enabling conferences to be held on one site. The
bar - a popular focus for many conferences is an excellent venue for
receptions or for unwinding in a relaxed atmosphere with a game of pool. |

| Henderson
Hall |
| Situated
in a quiet residential area about three miles north east of the City
Centre and main University campus. It adjoins one of the university's
larger sports grounds. The Old Hall which has recently been refurbished to
a very high standard provides accommodation for conference delegates with
additional accommodation available in Smith Wing. |
| Provides
accommodation in 88 ensuites with a further 8 single rooms. All rooms in
Old Hall are centrally heated and ensuites comprise wash hand basin with
shower and WC. Complimentary tea and coffee facilities are provided in all
bedrooms.
Smith Wing - Walking
distance from Old Hall, Smith Wing provides accommodation for 104
delegates in single study bedrooms with wash hand basins and shared
facilities. |

| Meeting
Space at Henderson Hall |
| A fine wood paneled
elegant lecture hall which has a seating capacity of 200 is situated
within Old Hall and is available to Conferences. An impressive setting for
any meeting, the hall has an integral PA system and additional audio
visual equipment can be arranged. A selection of seminar rooms are also
available, some adjacent to the hall and varying in size accommodating
groups ranging from 10 - 75. All rooms have excellent black out facilities
and offer organisers a selection of flexible space. |
