My first name is "Sadegh" which is pronounced as
/ˈsɑːdək/.
I am currently an Assistant Professor at the
School of Computing,
Newcastle University, United Kingdom.
Previously I was a postdoctoral researcher at
Max Planck Institute, Germany, working with Prof.
Rupak Majumdar.
Prior to this I was a postdoctoral researcher in the
Automated Verification group,
Department of Computer Science,
University of Oxford.
I received a BSc degree in Electrical Engineering in 2006, a BSc in Mathematics in 2007, and an MSc in Control Engineering in 2009, all with distinction from
University of Tehran, Iran.
My master's thesis was on the nonlinear observability of electrical drive systems, under the supervision of Prof.
F.R. Salmasi. I earned my PhD in November 2014 in the department
Delft Center for Systems and Control (DCSC) at
TU Delft, the Netherlands, under the supervision of Prof.
Alessandro Abate.
My PhD thesis was on formal methods for automated verification and synthesis of stochastic systems applied to energy networks, systems biology, and transportation systems.
I received the DISC best thesis award for the best thesis defended in the field of Systems and Control in the Netherlands.
Please feel free to contact me if you are interested in my research activities.
