I am a researcher in Distributed Computer Systems at Newcastle University. My interests include large scale distributed systems, workflow systems, Service Oriented Architectures, Process Algebra, Service Description and Event Based Systems. My current work is trying to complete my thesis which ties together distributed workflow systems, protocol description and formal analysis.

 

Teaching wise, I am involved with the SDIA modules csc8104 and csc8016. Some time ago, Einar and I helped set up the first MSc course in Kazakhstan at the Al-Farabi National University.

 

I am captain of the Old Record Players (ORPs) Cricket Team and vice captain of CCC (a midweek cricket team). I support Leicester Tigers although I can also be spotted supporting Newcastle Falcons as it is a little more convenient. Last year I completed the Great North Run for the second time. I have no aspirations for there to be a third time.
