  • Received the Master of Engineering degree in 1983 from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India.
  • Awarded Ph.D. in 1989 by the University of Newcastle, Newcastle upon Tyne, UK, for research work on agreement protocols and failure classification.
  • Currently a Reader at the School of Computing Science , Newcastle University, Newcastle upon Tyne, UK.
