A BLAST exercise


Now that you have an idea of how to do a BLAST search we’ll run through an example of our own.

Here is a mystery protein sequence that has been isolated by sequencing a clone from a library in your lab. Use BLAST with the non-redundant database to see if you can make a guess about its identity.
